MV Agusta Superveloce Ago edition fairing

This MV Agusta Superveloce Ago limited edition raised £52,900 in aid of the UNICEF Ukraine emergency fund when it was auctioned at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Signed by 15-times world champion Giacomo Agostini and briefly ridden at event, the machine is number one in the 311-strong production run – which commemorates the number of races Agostini won over 17 years.

“We’re delighted to honour one of the legends of motorsport while helping to raise funds for a most worthy cause,” commented Tim Schofield of Bonhams.

Apart from the bike, which was donated by MV, the new owner got the MV Agusta Experience consisting of a visit to Bergamo for dinner with Ago, a tour of his private museum and a photo shoot.

The bike, meanwhile, also features a range of special features and hand-crafted details. The first 15 are dedicated to Ago’s 15 titles with number one representing his first in 1966 with a special carbon-fibre plate on its tank.

There’s also carbon fibre bodywork in an Ago-inspired livery, a higher screen, Öhlins suspension, a certificate of authenticity, and more.
