apple allegedly upping iphone 14 shipping estimates to 95 million units

Apple has allegedly asked suppliers to increase iPhone 14 shipments to 95 million units, an increase of 5 million units over previous production volumes, suggesting that the iPhone maker believes demand will be strong for this year’s new iPhone lineup, which is expected to be unveiled next month alongside the Apple Watch Series 8, and more.

According to the Taiwan Economic Times, via MacRumors, Apple has upped its iPhone 14 shipping estimates by around 5%, with the iPhone 14 predicted to sell better than last year’s iPhone 13 series, likely due to the rumored introduction of a new larger non-Pro iPhone model, replacing the 5.4-inch “mini” iPhone in last year’s lineup with a new model matching the size of the 6.7-icnh iPhone 13 Pro Max, without the higher “Pro” price tag.

Reports have suggested that the ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ and ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max will feature graphite, gold, silver, and purple finishes, dropping the iPhone 13 Pro’s sierra blue and new alpine green options.
