Here is the list of best selling 200cc to 500cc motorcycles in India in March 2022. Analysing the report, YoY sales have dipped, whereas MoM sales have improved. As ever, models from Royal Enfield dominate the sales chart by locking the top five spots.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 (32,694 units)
Royal Enfield managed to sell 32,624 units of its Classic 350 motorcycles in March 2022. This makes the Classic 350 the best-selling motorcycle in 200cc to 500cc category and Royal Enfield’s product portfolio.

In addition to that, the YoY sales for the Classic 350 improved by more than 3 per cent compared to its sales performance last year during the same time. On the other hand, MoM sales figures of the Classic 350 improved by almost 9 per cent compared to the previous month.

Royal Enfield Bullet 350 (8,283 units)
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 has a separate fan base in India and it is one of the oldest motorcycle nameplates in the country.

In addition to that Royal Enfield sold 8,283 units of Bullet motorcycles in India, making it the second best selling Royal Enfield model in India. However, YoY sales for Bullet 350 motorcycle has come down by 15 per cent, but MoM sales have gone up by 29 per cent.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 (6,589 units)
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is an excellent touring motorcycle. Despite that, both YoY and MoM sales figures for the motorcycle fell in March 2022 as the company managed to sell just 6,589 units.

In comparison, Royal Enfield managed to sell 6,749 units in February 2022 and 10,596 units in March 2021. This has resulted in a 2 per cent and 38 per cent dip in MoM and YoY sales, respectively.

Royal Enfield Himalayan (5,225 units)
The Royal Enfield Himalayan is designed to take you places where other motorcycles can’t. Apart from that, the Royal Enfield Himalayan is a capable adventure motorcycle you can buy in India.

The motorcycle has been designed to tackle trails and rough patches and has gained a lot of traction in the Indian two-wheeler market. In March 2022, Royal Enfield managed to sell 5,225 units of Himalayan motorcycles and registered an 80 per cent and 75 per cent YoY and MoM sales increase, respectively.

Royal Enfield Electra 350 (4,460 units)
Royal Enfield managed to sell 4,460 units of Electra 350 motorcycles in March 2022. However, YoY sales for the motorcycle reduced by 454 units and registered a YoY sales decline of more than 10 per cent.
On the other hand MoM sales for the Royal Enfield Electra 350 increased by 30 per cent as the company managed to sell just 3,426 units in the previous month.

Honda H’ness CB350 (3,406 units)
In March 2022, Honda managed to sell 3,406 units of H’ness CB350 motorcycle in India. In comparison, YoY sales fell by more than 20 per cent as the company sold 4,302 units in March 2021.

On the other hand, MoM sales of the Honda H’ness 350 increased by almost 10 per cent as Honda managed to sell 307 units more in March 2022.

Bajaj Pulsar 220/250 (2,531 untis)
The Bajaj Pulsar is one of the most popular motorcycles in the country. However, the 220/250 variants of the Pulsar range lost some of their market shares as the company managed to sell just 2,531 units in March 2022.

Analysing the numbers, YoY sales for the Pulsar 220/250 variants fell more than 50 per cent. However, MoM sales figures showed a 2 per cent improvement.

KTM 250 (1,539 units)
KTM 250 variants registered positive sales as the company managed to sell 1,539 units in March 2022. Analysing previous sales figures, KTM 250 variants have witnessed a 23 per cent hike in YoY sales and an 8 per cent hike in MoM sales.

Bajaj Dominar 250 (694 units)
The 250cc variant of the Bajaj Dominar 250 is a consistent performer for Bajaj in the Indian two-wheeler market. In March 2022, the company managed to sell 694 units, resulting in a 5 per cent decline in YoY sales.

However, MoM sales for the Bajaj Dominar increased by more than 45 per cent as the company sold just 476 units in February 2022.

Yamaha FZ25 (500 units)
In March 2022, Yamaha sold 500 units of FZ25 motorcycles in India. In comparison, the company could only manage to sell 222 units in March 2021, resulting in a 125 per cent increase in YoY sales.

On the other hand, the MoM sales for the motorcycle improved by more than 103 per cent as the company managed to sell 246 units in February 2022.

Thoughts About 200cc To 500cc Motorcycle Segment
Looking into numbers, the YoY sales figures for the 200cc to 500cc motorcycle segment have dipped significantly. However, MoM sales have shown positive growth.
