Raven Software has announced the upcoming nerfs and buffs to weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone ahead of the patch update.
The announcement was made via Twitter and provides an in-depth look into how the meta may soon change in the popular battle royale.
Among the weapons affected by the changes are the FARA 83 and Krig 6 which have been popular primary weapons among players for the past season.
Popular secondary weapons affected by the changes are the OTs 9 and TEC-9 submachine guns which were introduced in the last update.
The Warzone developer also confirmed that the changes they've previewed on Twitter are all the changes that are coming in the latest patch so players can prepare appropriately in advance.
Here's a breakdown of all the guns that will be affected by the patch update.
AK-47 Gun Kick adjusted - adjusted so it behaves more closely to the other 7.62 caliber weaponry FARA 83
Changes have been made to the FARA to balance out it's ease of use with its consistent Time-to-Kill throughout all its Damage Ranges.
Some of the weapon's power has been shifted into its multipliers so it works more similarly to other weapons of similar skill.
Maximum Damage decreased from 29 to 25. Minimum Damage decreased from 25 to 23. Head Multiplier increased from 1.35 to 1.56. Neck Multiplier increased from 1 to 1.2. Upper Torso Multiplier increased from 1 to 1.1. Krig 6
Raven acknowledges the popularity of the Krig 6 and has noted it's only intended as an entry-level weapon.
Due to its ease of control and powerful values, it becomes a problematic weapon when frequently used by experienced players who can get easy kills with it - which isn't the target use of the weapon.
Recoil increased. Neck Multiplier decreased from 1.3 to 1.1. QBZ-83
Raven appears to be spending a lot of time balancing out the QBZ so that it becomes the easiest weapon to use with a consistent Time-to-Kill.
They have stated they will be monitoring the weapon's performance over the coming week to ensure its performance meets their expectations.
Recoil increased slightly. Recoil Dampening enabled.
Raven has acknowledged the benefit of the OTs 9 is how consistent and easy it was to achieve kills with it.
They have changed the weapon to cater it towards those who want a mobile weapon that excels in close-quarter engagements.
Recoil increased slightly. Maximum Damage decreased from 34 to 31. Minimum Damage increased from 20 to 21. Headshot multiplier increased from 1.35 to 1.52. Neck Multiplier decreased from 1.35 to 1. TEC-9
The developers seem to be concerned with the consistency of the TEC-9 in achieving kills and fail to reward precision.
However, it's unclear how these changes fix the issue as only one Multiplier has been changed.
Maximum Damage decreased from 26 to 24. Minimum Damage decreased from 24 to 22. Neck Multiplier increased from 1 to 1.1
Light Machine Guns
Light Machine Gun Alpha
Raven has added plenty of nerfs to the LMG Alpha in order to separate it from its similarities to the 5.56 Assault Rifles.
This would ideally reduce the unfair range between an engagement between and AR and LMG at close ranges.
Recoil adjusted Gun Kick adjusted Raise Interrupt TIme increased from .8 to 1 second.
Tactical Rifle Charlie
While burst weapons are probably the least selected in Warzone, Raven is adamant that they want to focus on weapons across the board that suits all playstyles and skill.
The reduced Recoil and boosted Rate of Fire will hopefully make burst weapons more popular, according to Raven Software.
Recoil decreased slightly Fire Rate increased from 5 per cent to 6 per cent (18" Rapid Fire Barrel) Fire Ratet increased from 7 per cent to 8 per cent (17" Titanium Barrel)
