Call of Duty: Warzone Two Popular Villains Arrive in Season Five Mid-Season Update

Season Five: Last Stand Raven Software

The final season of Call of Duty: Warzone is here, and with it is the release of the Mid-Season Update which, according to developer Raven Software, is the last major patch for the game.

The Villains are Back with a Vengeance

There’s a lot to unpack in the Mid-Season update for Warzone. First, two popular villains from the franchise will arrive sometime this season. They are the infamous Rorke and Seraph, who originally appeared in Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Black Ops III, respectively.

These villains will come with new weapons as well. Rorke likes to use the Lienna 57, a compact light machine gun that favors stability over speed. Those who want a good mid-range gun that can be used comfortably even with the fire button held for a long time will love this.

On the other hand, Seraph is going to use the new BP50 bullpup assault rifle. This weapon boasts a high fire rate and is relatively accurate compared to similar firearms in the game. However, its strength is also its weakness as players will no doubt be reloading frequently due to this being an ammo-hungry weapon.

Now, those who pre-ordered the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will receive the Khaled Al-Asad Operator bundle too, which can be used immediately in both Vanguard and Warzone.

Rebirth Resurgence Supreme

Raven Software has upped the ante as the company brought the fan-favorite Rebirth Resurgence mode back, now with new rules to make it even more competitive.

To increase the tension, the Resurgence countdown is a little longer. For those who don’t know, instead of going to the Gulag after death, players can actually spawn back to the battlefield after a certain period. The change to the countdown timer just makes it so that players will have to wait a bit longer to get back into action.

Moreover, players get a little beefier now as their core HP is increased to 200. Additionally, getting an elimination in this mode now shows the locations of enemy squads as a ping on the minimap for a longer time.

Despite the new rules, players do have some control when it comes to the Resurgence Cooldown. For instance, avenging a squad mate will greatly reduce the cooldown time. This is a good counter to the above changes, provided that the dead player’s squadmates are skilled enough to kill the one responsible for their death.

Those who win a Resurgence Supreme with at least 15 eliminations will be awarded the Resurgence Trials Victory Calling Card.

So, what can you say about the final major patch for Call of Duty: Warzone?
