Over the years, Mazda has produced several amazing cars and SUVs. With the all-new 2023 CX-50, it is looking to continue that trend. However, many tech-savvy consumers may wonder whether Mazda’s new offering will have Android Auto.

According to Mazda, the trims available for the CX-50 are the Select, Preferred, Preferred Plus, and Premium. At a starting MSRP of $28,053, the 2023 CX-50 comes at a price that won’t weigh too heavily on consumers’ wallets. However, the price is just one of the advantages this vehicle offers drivers.

The transmission has four drive modes: Normal, Sport, Off-Road, and Towing. To help with the Off-Road mode, the CX-50 also comes with the i-Activ All-Wheel Drive system to assist with traction and performance on any road surface. In addition, for enhanced stability, the CX-50 subtly adjusts torque and braking with the G-Vectoring Control Plus system, which works in tandem with the drive modes and all-wheel drive.

A turbocharged engine sits under the hood to give the CX-50 its signature Mazda performance. It delivers 252 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque, giving the compact SUV enough power to make driving an engaging experience. The CX-50 also offers crisp handling thanks to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Is Android Auto available on the 2023 CX-50?

The 2023 Mazda CX-50 comes with a suite of driving and infotainment technology. However, the big question for Android users is whether it includes Android Auto in its selection of options.

The answer to the question is a resounding yes. All trims of the CX-50 come standard with Android Auto integrated into their systems.

That’s good news because Android Auto offers numerous benefits for Android smartphone users. It is a system that allows drivers to control their Android phones and access those features safely while driving. Android Auto is essentially capable of doing the same things an Android phone can do.

Drivers can connect an Android phone to the system via a USB connection or wirelessly. While connected to the phone, the Android Auto can use the 10.3-inch infotainment display to mirror the phone display and integrate features like steering wheel audio controls.

It’s easy to see why Android users would be happy to have Android Auto in their CX-50. However, that isn’t the only handy piece of technology that the compact SUV offers its drivers.

The Mazda CX-50 is loaded with several technological goodies

As listed by Mazda, the 2023 CX-50’s technological features are designed to bring a diverse range of conveniences to drivers. The cabin comes equipped with in-car Wi-Fi, giving its occupants continuous online access. Roadside assistance, automatic 911 calls in the event of an accident, and a vehicle health and status report are all available to increase safety.

In addition to Android Auto, the CX-50 also comes with Apple CarPlay, which offers the same level of integration with an iPhone that Android Auto gives Android phones. The MyMazda App controls the SUV’s systems and displays the CX-50’s location with a vehicle finder function. Drivers can also keep their devices running at full power with a wireless charging pad.

For drivers who want their favorite music to accompany them, the CX-50 comes standard with an eight-speaker stereo. However, the Premium and Premium Plus trims have a 12-speaker Bose audio system with SiriusXM satellite radio.

Combining a captivating performance on the road with advanced safety features and several technological conveniences makes the CX-50 a fine choice for any driver. So, Android users don’t have to worry about being left out.
