F1 2022 Singapore Grand Prix: Starting Grid

The FIA has formally confirmed the starting grid for Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix, the sport’s first visit to the Marina Bay Circuit since 2019.

Charles Leclerc will start from pole position, ahead of Red Bull’s Sergio Perez.

Championship leader Max Verstappen will take the lights in a lowly eighth place following a team blunder during Saturday’s qualifying session.

George Russell, who failed to make it into Q3 on Saturday, has been demoted to a pit lane start after taking on a fresh power unit.
