Polestar O2 concept

Chinese-Swedish brand Polestar has confirmed it will push its O2 concept into production as the Polestar 6 beginning in 2026.

Revealed earlier this year in Los Angeles, the new sports car will be be based on Polestar’s electric vehicle platform, with a dual-motor set-up aiming to produce 650kW of power and 900Nm of torque. The company claims this will make it powerful enough to launch 0-100km/h in 3.2 seconds and have a 0-100km/h time of 250km/h.

Polestar CEO, Thomas Ingenlath, said: “With the overwhelming consumer and press response, we took the decision to put this stunning roadster into production and I am so excited to make it a reality. Polestar 6 is a perfect combination of powerful electric performance and the thrill of fresh air with the top down.”
