how to make a clan in destiny 2

Figuring out how to make a clan in Destiny 2 isn’t as easy as it is with some other games. Unlike, say, Call of Duty, you can’t make a Destiny 2 clan inside of the game. The only way to make a clan in Destiny 2 is to use either Bungie’s website or the Destiny Companion App. We’re here to show you how to use both.

Regardless of whether or not you have access to a PC, you should be able to get your own clan up and running in just a few minutes.

When you’re trying to figure out how to make a clan in Destiny 2, your first stop is probably the game itself. Unfortunately, there’s no way to make a clan in-game. However, you can make a Destiny 2 clan on Bungie.net. Here’s how:

  • Visit the clan section of Bungie’s website.
  • Sign in to your Bungie account and make sure your system of choice is all linked up.
  • Click on “Create a clan” at the bottom of the page.
  • Enter your clan’s details, including:
    • Clan name.
    • Clan tag.
    • Clan motto.
    • Clan description.
    • A short paragraph about your clan.
    • Your clan’s language.
    • Whether or not players need permission to join the clan.
  • Click on “Create clan” at the bottom of the page.

Once you’ve finished all that, you’re done! You should automatically be redirected to your clan’s page on Bungie.net, where you can see all of your clan’s details.

Using the Companion App

Not everyone has access to a PC or the means to create a clan via Bungie.net. Those players will have to make a clan using the official Destiny Companion app. You can download the app from the Google Play Store, or the Apple App Store. Once you have the app downloaded, follow these steps to create your clan:

  • Open up the Companion App on your phone.
  • Log into your Bungie.net account.
  • Click into the “Clan” section in the center of the bottom of your screen.
  • Tap “Create a clan”.
  • Enter your clan’s details. These are the same details needed if you’re making a clan via Bungie.net.
  • Tap on “Create clan” once you’ve input all of your clan’s details.

That’s how to make a clan in Destiny 2 using the Companion app. If you can’t make a clan using the app or Bungie.net, then you’re out of luck. Those are the only two ways to make a Destiny 2 clan, so you’ll have to use one of them.

Once you are in a clan you have an opportunity to find a group of people to consistently do endgame activities like Dungeons, Raids, and Grandmaster Nightfalls. You will need guns though, lots of guns:
