E-challan is an electronically obtained challan. It can be paid offline by visiting the office of traffic police or online through the challan payment portals. Traffic challans are issued to people who disrespect traffic rules and violate them. Some examples of violations are jumping the red light, over speeding, not wearing a helmet, or driving without the necessary documents.

If you have to make the payment of e challan, you can simply do it with your Paytm account. It is very easy and convenient to make traffic e-challan payment on Paytm. Check here the step-by-step guide to make e-challan payment at the Paytm website.

Here is how to make traffic Challan payment using Paytm Website:

Step 1: Go to the Challan Bill Payment page on Paytm

Step 2: Select the ‘Traffic Authority’

Step 3: Enter the required details such as Challan Number/Challan ID, Vehicle Number, etc.

Step 4: Click on ‘Proceed’ to check the challan amount

Step 5: Select your preferred mode of payment from Debit Card, Credit Card, Paytm Wallet, Paytm Postpaid & Net Banking

Step 6: Complete the payment, and you are done.

Note: Currently you can pay challan for Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, Faridabad, Maharashtra & Telangana traffic authorities only at Paytm. For traffic authorities other than these, you can check online if they allow e-challan payment.
