The Urus is definitely not one of those cars that you buy because of its practicality or fuel economy. Lamborghini’s second attempt at making an SUV, the Urus, is something of an emotional tool that also ensures that everyone sees you. Competing with the likes of the Audi RS Q8 and Bentley Bentayga, the Lamborghini Urus is quite a special and rare car on Indian roads. However, what if you want an even rarer and more exclusive avatar of this SUV? Well, that’s who the new Urus Pearl Capsule Edition is for! It is available in three exclusive colors – Arancio Borealis, GialloInti, and Verde Mantis. In plain English, that’s essentially bright orange, bright yellow, and lime green.

With the Urus Pearl Capsule Edition, Lamborghini adds plenty of even more unique exterior and interior bits. For that extra effect, there are loads of gloss black elements on the outside that bring a certain level of contrasting appeal. These include the bumpers, front splitter, fender extensions, side skirts, wing mirror caps, rear spoiler, the whole roof, and the massive 23-inch alloy wheels – all of which are now finished in gloss black. There is no denying the fact that the exterior of the Urus Pearl Capsule Edition isn’t meant for those who want to leave their house and roam about town stealthily. You will get photographed. But then again, isn’t that why you bought a brightly colored Lamborghini in the first place?

The special touches continue on to the interior of the Urus Pearl Capsule Edition as well. Lamborghini has festooned the cabin with dual-tone Alcantara and carbon fiber, while also making sure that most of the surfaces are covered with contrast stitching. Furthermore, there are some anodized aluminium bits of trim that look really cool, and sports seats that have the Urus name sewed right onto the headrests. All of this adds a lot more drama and uniqueness to an already dramatic and special cabin. Also, the color-matched exterior-interior theme comes across as sporty and increases the overall appeal of this Pearl Capsule Edition. Furthermore, you get all the features that are found on the standard Urus, including the three digital displays, six different drive modes, a sports exhaust system, adaptive dampers, electrically-adjustable front seats, and carbon-ceramic brakes.

Breathing life into the Urus Pearl Capsule Edition is the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that’s found in the standard model. With petrol coursing through its veins (ermm, cylinders?), this motor sends 641hp and 850Nm of torque to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This is enough to rocket the 2.2-ton Urus from naught to 100 kmph in 3.6 seconds and to a top whack of 305 kmph! So, the Pearl Capsule Edition looks fantastic and goes just as fast as the standard Urus – who would have thought? As for its asking price, well, Lamborghini will apparently only reveal it if you want to actually buy it. For reference, though, the regular Urus starts from Rs 3.15 crore (ex-showroom, India).
