Microsoft has finally announces the arrival of Android apps support for Windows 11 users.

Microsoft has finally announced that it is bringing Android apps support for mainstream Windows 11 users to download and use on their devices. According to the announcement, starting September 27, 2022 users belonging to 21 countries will be able to download and enable this WSA (Windows system for Android) feature and enjoy the benefits.

Android App Comes to Windows 11

Although this update was introduced in the month of February, up until now this option was only limited to users from the United States and Japan region. Now, this feature has been extended to 21 countries.

This WSA update which was previously in the testing phase is now made available for all the users to download across 21 countries as mentioned above. After this update, users will be able to download many android apps from the Microsoft/Amazon App store. 

For this update to work flawlessly, the company suggests that the systems should have the following minimum requirements

  • 8GB of RAM ( although 16GB is recommended)
  • An SSD (solid-state drive)
  • AMD Ryzen 3000 (minimum) or above
  • Intel core i3 8th Gen or above and
  • The Virtual Machine Platform setting.

 To enable this new Android app support update on your Microsoft device, you can go to  Microsoft Store ->  download ‘Amazon Appstore’ -> and install ‘Windows Subsystem for Android’. Give required permissions wherever asked for, and finally, go to ‘Amazon Appstore” and Sign in to your Amazon account to browse through all the available Android apps.

Once these steps are completed, you can start downloading Android apps from the Amazon App store on your Windows 11-supported device. Eligible users can download the apps and let’s us know in the comment section below how it works.
