OnePlus 10T 5G smartphone has launched in India on Wednesday, and the latest mid-year OnePlus flagship phone promises a lot within a reasonable price range. The new OnePlus device is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, making it one of the few that is available in the country. OnePlus 10T faces a lot of competition in its segment, with brands like Realme, Xiaomi and Oppo to count on.

But it is hard to ignore the obvious rivalry that is brewing within OnePlus, which has the OnePlus 10R and the flagship OnePlus 10 Pro also considered flagship peers. So, how does the OnePlus 10T fare in comparison with the other OnePlus 10 series phones, and which one is better? We decided to find out.

OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10 Pro vs OnePlus 10R: Price in India

OnePlus 10T’s starting price is Rs 49,999 for the base 8GB variant, you pay Rs 54,999 for the 12GB model, and the highest variant with 16GB RAM costs Rs 55,999.

OnePlus 10 Pro is priced at Rs 66,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, while the 12GB+256GB model is priced at Rs 71,999.

OnePlus 10R prices in India start from Rs 38,999 which gets you the 8GB + 128GB model. You also have the 12GB + 256GB option with 80W, or you can go for the 150W charging version for Rs 42,999 and Rs 43,999, respectively.

OnePlus 10T tries to find the right balance between premium and durable. The phone’s back panel is glossy, making it a fingerprint magnet. Even though the build is glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer for protection, you immediately notice the cost cuts made by OnePlus for this device made.

The front camera is placed at the top centre, and the display is flat, not the curved panel you get with the OnePlus 10 Pro. Between the three, we do prefer the subtle class of the 10 Pro, but in this price range, the 10T feels better than the 10R for us.

OnePlus 10 Pro gets an aluminium frame, and the matte textured glass finish at the back feels a lot better after seeing the 10T. It has a big camera module for the rear cameras that blends into the middle frame. The brand has also added a ceramic lens cover that prevents the sensor from getting any scratches.

The OnePlus 10R goes for a boxy design with flat edges, and a plastic finish at the back doesn’t look premium but is a lot more durable and less prone to fingerprints.

OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10 Pro vs OnePlus 10R: Display

OnePlus 10T sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that supports Full HD+ resolution and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate that switches between 60Hz, 90Hz and 120Hz. As we said, the panel is flat. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection and offers a pixel density of 394 PPI.

OnePlus 10 Pro also has a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ screen with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The display is 3D flexible, and you get a curved AMOLED LTPO 2.0 panel that produces a screen resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels. The device also comes with up to 1,300nits of peak brightness.

OnePlus 10R also carries the same display as the 10T, with its 6.7-inch AMOLED panel that gives you an adaptive refresh rate from 60Hz to 120Hz. The main screen has been offered Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The display gives you a pixel density of 394 PPI.

OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10 Pro vs OnePlus 10R: Performance and UI

OnePlus 10T is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, and this time you get it with up to 16GB RAM and 128GB and 256GB as the storage options. OnePlus 10T comes with the OxygenOS 12.1 version based on the Android 12 operating system.

OnePlus 10 Pro packs Snapdragon’s top-of-the-line, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. OnePlus 10 Pro boots on Oxygen OS 12.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.

The OnePlus 10R is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB which is not expandable. OnePlus 10R gets the tried-and-tested OxygenOS 12 version out of the box.

OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10 Pro vs OnePlus 10R: Cameras

OnePlus 10T carries a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary IMX766 sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. The front of the phone gets a 16MP camera.

OnePlus 10 Pro also comes with triple rear cameras. The handset offers a 48MP primary Sony IMX789 sensor, 50MP ultra-wide-angle and an 8MP telephoto lens. The company has once again worked with Hasselblad, which brings a special Pro Mode that offers 12-bit RAW photography.

OnePlus 10R has a triple rear camera setup of a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP sensor. And on the front, you get a 16MP sensor.

OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10 Pro vs OnePlus 10R: Battery

OnePlus 10T comes with a 4800mAh battery that supports 150W fast charging technology.

OnePlus 10 Pro supports 80W fast charging, but it packs a bigger 5,000mAh battery unit. It also comes with 50W wireless charging and supports reverse wireless charging as well.

OnePlus 10R comes in two charging options. You have the 80W charging for the 5,000mAh battery version. And then the 12GB + 256GB model gives you 150W charging speed.

OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10 Pro vs OnePlus 10R: Verdict

OnePlus 10T sees upgrades in some aspects, while the cost cuts are evident. The use of the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset makes it a top-end performer, and going for the 16GB variant will never leave you wanting more power, and you can still save around Rs 10,000 compared to the base OnePlus 10 Pro variant. The design is a mixed bag, and the screen quality changes could work in favour of the battery life, which now gets 150W charging support.

The cameras haven’t changed much from the 10 Pro and the OS support will be available for both these devices. If you are in the market for a flagship-grade device, the OnePlus 10T makes for a decent bet and offers better value than what you get with the OnePlus 10 Pro and the 10R.
