Lexus, like Toyota, is synonymous with dependability. Fortunately, two Lexus models prove that luxury and longevity can go hand in hand. Specifically, the Lexus GS 350 and ES 350 made the top longest-lasting sedans and hatchbacks list on iSeeCars’ lifespan study. In fact, you can expect these two Lexus models to sail past 200,000 miles with proper care and maintenance.

How many miles can a Lexus GS 350 go?

A Lexus GS 350 has the potential to drive well over 200,000 miles. In fact, according to iSeeCars’ lifespan study, the Lexus GS 350 has a potential lifespan of around 207,794 miles. Of course, that doesn’t mean that the low 200,000-mile range will be the limit for a GS 350.

Executive Analyst Karl Brauer from iSeeCars said, “this is simply a measure of current odometer readings.” Furthermore, Brauer said, “most of these cars are still in use and going strong” of the cars named in the study. The Lexus GS 350’s figure means that at least 1% of the Lexus models from 10 of the last 20 years have around 207,794 miles. With a stat like that, the GS 350 earned the number five spot in the top 10 longest-lasting sedans and hatchbacks.

How many miles will a Lexus ES 350 go?

The Lexus ES 350 doesn’t have the longevity of the GS 350, but it still ranks among the longest-lasting sedans in the lifespan study. Specifically, the Lexus ES 350 has a potential lifespan of about 204,642 miles. Moreover, the Lexus ES 350 ranks number eight in the longest-lasting conventional models.

Still, the ES 350 falls behind the Honda Fit and Honda Civic, which have potential lifespans of around 207,794 and 205,335 miles, respectively. However, the Lexus model bests the Toyota Corolla by about 400 miles. However, all of these vehicles have the potential to last between 200,000 and 300,000 miles with proper care and maintenance.

How many different Lexus models are there?

There are about 10 different models in Lexus’ current lineup. Of the past and present models, only two Lexus cars made the list of the longest-lasting sedans and hatchbacks. However, the Lexus RX 450h made the list of the longest-lasting hybrid models in iSeeCars’ study. Specifically, the RX 450h hybrid SUV has a potential lifespan of around 196,826 miles.

Still, that figure reflects the average of some of the highest mileage examples, not what the vehicle is capable of over time.

Which brand of car lasts the longest?

While Lexus borrows some of its quality, Toyota is the longest-lasting automaker. First, iSeeCars’ study showed that of the top 20 longest-lasting models across all makes and types, Toyota has 10 on the list. Moreover, the Toyota Prius, Highlander, and Camry hybrid models top their segment.

Also, the Toyota Avalon outperformed comparable sedan and hatchback models by several thousand miles, with a potential lifespan of around 245,710 miles. While the Lexus models are impressive, Toyota stole the longevity show.
