The holiday season started in Pokémon GO earlier this month with the Winter Holiday Part 1 event. Now, its Part 2 counterpart will start up and deliver this year’s Costumed Pokémon. Joining the Costumed Pokémon from previous winter holiday events (specifically 2019, 2020, and 2021) are Eevee and all the Eeveelutions wearing holiday hats!

While there is some shuffling around of which Costumed Pokémon are appearing (bye Costumed Spheal and Costumed Stantler for non-costumed versions), various aspects of the Part 1 event will still be active. This includes the paid-for Winter Holiday-themed Timed Research (priced at US$5.00 or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). This Timed Research can also be gifted to other Trainers, provided that US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency) is paid.

Also, two smaller events will be released during this event. They include the Winter Wonderland event and the Hisuian Avalugg Raid Day event. More information for these events can be found in their own guides: Winter Wonderland event guide and Hisuian Avalugg Raid Day event guide.

Now, check out what’s happening during the Winter Holiday Part 2 event with our guide below:

Pokémon GO’s Season of Mythical Wishes – Winter Holiday Part 2

Begins: Friday, December 23rd, 2022 at 10 a.m. your local time.

Ends: Saturday, December 31st, 2022 at 8 p.m. your local time.

Pokémon debuts – Costumed Eevee and Eeveelutions + Costumed Beartic

guides, mobile

Dashing through the snow are Eevee and all its Eeveelutions (Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon). They’re all donning little holiday hats decorated in red and green. While all are available as shinies in Pokémon GO, Niantic notes that only Costumed Eevee can be Shiny. It is unclear if this is an error or if Shiny Costumed Eevee will be prevented from evolving.

Costumed Cubchoo from Holiday 2020 and 2021 returns (also known as Cubchoo wearing a holiday ribbon) along with Costumed Delibird (also from the same previous events). The new addition this time is that Costumed Cubchoo can now be evolved into Costumed Beartic.

Going forward, these Pokémon will be referred to as “Costumed” rather than the exact outfit they are wearing.
