The Redmi Note 12 5G smartphone will launch in India alongside the Redmi Note 12 Pro series, which will break cover next month.
Notably, the Note 12 Pro series comprises the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G smartphones. To those unaware, the Note 12 Pro series will launch in India on January 5.
The Note 12 Pro series smartphones will be available for purchase via Flipkart. The Note 12 Pro+ 5G smartphone’s India price was recently revealed by tipster Paras Guglani.
Now, Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 5G will launch in India at the Note 12 Pro series launch event. Tipster Mukul Sharma predicted the impending launch of the handset earlier this month.
Moreover, the Note 12 5G will debut as the first 5G-ready vanilla Redmi Note model. A dedicated microsite for the Note 12 5G has gone live on the Mi Online Store and Amazon. Now, the microsites reveal the Redmi Note 12 5G Indian variant’s key specifications.
Redmi Note 12 5G Launch In India & Key Specs
The Note 12 5G Indian variant seems to boast the same specs as the Note 12 5G Chinese model. According to the Amazon microsite, the upcoming Note series phone will sport an AMOLED display.
Moreover, it suggests the phone will have a punch-hole notch in the center. However, it is unclear whether the device’s display will deliver a high refresh rate.

The Amazon microsite shows a triple rear camera setup along with an LED flash. Also, it confirms the presence of a 48MP camera on the Indian variant.
The listing further reveals that the Indian model will support 33W fast charging. So, the Note 12 5G will retain the charging capabilities of its predecessor.
According to Xiaomi, the Note 12 5G will be the slimmest Redmi Note series phone yet. The Indian variant of the handset will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
This could turn out to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor, which powers its Chinese counterpart. Moreover, the Note 12 5G Indian model will have a fingerprint scanner on the side edge.
The official renders shows the phone in a blue color option. The Note 12 5G Chinese model is available in blue, black, and white color options.
The Redmi Note 12 5G carries a price tag of RMB 1199 for the 4GB RAM+28GB storage variant in China. In India, this model could retail for around INR 14,000. Lastly, I think Redmi will launch Redmi Note 12 5G with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage in India.
