Samsung Galaxy A11 users could finally get their hands on Android 12, two years after the entry-level smartphone debuted in 2020.

But is the two-year-long wait for the arrival of Android 12 worth it?

Samsung Galaxy A11 Android 12 Update

As per the latest news by GizmoChina, the South Korean phone maker, Samsung, has started rolling out the Android 12 update to its budget Galaxy A11 smartphone.

The news outlet notes that the Samsung Galaxy device, which launched in May 2020, received its Android 11 update a year after its launch, or in 2021.

And this time, over two years since the Galaxy A11 hit the shelves, Samsung is dishing out its much-awaited Android 12 update.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, the new Android 12 update on the 2022 entry-level devices carries the firmware version A115FXXU3CVI3.

What’s New in the Android 12 for Galaxy A11

Samsung says that the Android 12 update for its Galaxy A11 provides its users with the long-due August 2022 security update. The renowned tech giant notes that it patches “dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities.” So upon installing this new OS release, users of the budget phone should feel safer than ever.

Not to mention that the latest release should also help improve the overall performance of the more than two-year-old mobile device.

Apart from these performance and security refinements, Android 12 also brings a slew of new fancy features.

Even if the A11 is already an aging device, the new update still offers what the One UI Core 4.1 provides its users. Essentially, it brings new features, along with widgets and other handy additions that newer smartphones readily support right off the bat.

For instance, the latest update brings the Color Palette feature to the Galaxy phone. Its users should also expect new and improved widgets as they install the new Android release.

If you are keen on using Dark Mode most of the time, the update offers slight improvements to make it more seamless across various apps.

The built-in apps on Galaxy phones, such as the keyboard and the camera app also saw some upgrades. The camera app now rocks a more minimalistic look, allowing users to better navigate it while taking photos.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Keyboard now helps its users write better and more concise messages, all thanks to its Grammarly support.

So while the Android 12 update took a while before arriving to the Samsung entry-level phone, the new features and improvements are still worth looking into.
