Last year, Samsung unified the Samsung Pass and Samsung Pay apps into a single app called Samsung Wallet. The service was first launched in South Korea and the US. Later, it was launched in nineteen other countries. Today, the company has announced that it will bring Samsung Wallet to eight more countries.
Samsung Wallet will be available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan starting at the end of January 2023. The app is already available in 21 other countries, including Bahrain, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Norway, Oman, Qatar, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Vietnam, UAE, the UK, and the US. Once the Samsung Wallet app is available in your region, you can download it through the Galaxy Store app. Those who already have the Samsung Pay app on their phone can update the app to convert it into Samsung Wallet.
Samsung Wallet is exclusive to Samsung smartphones, and it can store your boarding passes, credit and debit cards, digital keys, gift cards, health certificates, ID cards, loyalty cards, membership cards, and even NFT collections. You can share digital keys with your friends and family. It is secured by Samsung Knox, which offers defense-grade security for all your digital data. The South Korean firm said it would add more features to Samsung Wallet later this year.
