skoda kushaq interior revealed through official sketches

It has only been a couple of weeks since Skoda unveiled a few sketches of the upcoming Kushaq. In those, the Czech carmaker showcased how the exterior of the Kushaq is likely to look like. Now, as a follow-up on the previous ones, the company has released sketches of the interior of the Kushaq. With the official world premiere set for March 18, there isn’t a whole lot of time between now and then. However, considering that there have been almost actual photos of the Skoda Kushaq on the internet, it is good to at least see some official sketches.

The interior of the Skoda Vision IN Concept

While the production car might host a few changes to its interior, these sketches are definitely not too far off. One of the first things to grab your attention is the bright orange inserts. These plastic bits can be found on the dashboard, around the center pedestal, and on the front doors. Skoda seems to be targeting a younger and hipper crowd with the Kushaq, so it makes sense for it to feature some trendy-looking trim on the inside. Moreover, the orange shade chosen by the automaker makes for a lighter and fashionable cabin. Just as fashionable are the side air-con vents that protrude out of the dashboard and also feature shiny silver surrounds around them.

Bringing more classy appeal to the interior is the two-spoke steering wheel that the sketches reveal the Kushaq will get. If this steering wheel design seems familiar to you, that’s because it is. For instance, Skoda’s flagship offering, the new Superb, also features the same wheel design. The two-spoke steering wheel not only looks suave and contemporary but it also elevates the feeling of luxury inside the cabin. Furthering this upscale cause are the two digital displays, the first being a fully-digital instrument cluster. With many cars nowadays boasting a digital driver’s display, it was quite obvious that the Kushaq will have one too. The unit will integrate all of the key gauges along with an active menu for the driver to toggle between.

The center of the dashboard is dominated by a large 10-inch display for the Kushaq’s touch-infotainment system. Skoda is calling it a “free-standing infotainment display,” which sounds pretty fancy if you ask me. Fortunately, it seems like the touchscreen doesn’t get massive bezels around it, and thus, it does come across as a modern design. It will definitely come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, though some type of connected car technology can also be expected. The Kushaq will come with features like cruise control, a power-operated driver’s seat, automatic climate control, and probably even wireless charging. Being a Skoda, the interior of the Kushaq should offer enough storage cubbies and a practically laid-out cabin.

Meanwhile, the exterior of the Skoda Kushaq will sport LED headlamps with sharp-looking LED daytime-running lights. These will be accompanied by the flared fenders, large roof rails, a sport rear spoiler, and stylish LED elements in the taillights. And unlike some of its rivals, the exterior design of the Skoda Kushaq seems to sport more straight lines and sharp angles. This, along with the general boxy silhouette, should make this small crossover look quite handsome. Of course, we will have to wait till March 18 to see what all features have made their way to the final production car. In the meantime, it will reasonable to expect the Kushaq’s interior and exterior styling to remain very close to what we see in these sketches from Skoda.
