You might not notice these secret iPhone tricks, but they could legitly save your time from endless tapping.

One-Touch Screen

When you’re scrolling on your device or reading an article from the website, you browse down to see the next part of the content. If you want to go to the top easily, you need to click the center portion of the screen.

Flip-scrolling can sometimes be monotonous, but there’s a trick that you can do to ditch this habit. All you need to do is to click the top part of your iPhone’s screen, and that’s it.

It’s applicable when you’re using an app. It’s simply a magic hack you need to do without question because it’s easy to follow.

Text Replacements as Shortcut

Did you know that there’s a way to type your email address without typing it? Thanks to the random characters on your iPhone, you can use text replacements.

To do this, go to Settings, then click General. From there, tap Keyboard and click Text Replacement.

Wired recommends that instead of typing your whole email address, you can use “eml.” You can also utilize this trick if you are asked to write your home address. Just imagine the time you save from typing a very long name of your exact location.

The source adds that if you want to do this more effectively, you need to utilize uncommon letters. As much as possible, use text replacements since you can link it to the iCloud. Regardless of what Apple device you are using, your progress will be saved here.

The Ninja Way of Hiding Your Photos

Your iPhone’s gallery is a collection of your photos and videos. Although it’s quite “private,” many people can view what’s inside it. If you want to hide your sensitive stuff in your photo library, try this trick.

First, click on one, or you could also choose a few if you like. Once you’re done, click the share icon. If you see an arrow going up in a box, that’s it. Continue scrolling down until you stumble with “Hide.” Make sure to tick this on.

If you want to view your hidden images, head to Albums and just continue scrolling at the bottom. You will see Hidden there. You can also switch off the feature on your Photos Section by going to Settings.

Once it’s activated, there’s a need to enter a passcode before you see the hidden photos and videos on the album.

Other hacks you can do besides the above-mentioned tips:

  • Erasing your old screenshots
  • Removing apps on the Home Screen only
  • Organizing the Home Screen in Seconds
  • Pinning your reminders or messages from friends
  • Fast way of locking your iPhone

If you want to learn more other tricks, but this time about Android, The New York Times wrote a separate article about it.
