500 Global, a global venture capital firm, hosted Demo Day on January 18 in collaboration with the Philippines’ corporate venture builder 917Ventures, marking the culmination of a ten-week virtual accelerator program designed to scale ten 917Ventures portfolio companies.

Held at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, Philippines, Demo Day showcased ten of the country’s startups with exciting potential across e-commerce, fintech, marketplace, data, edutech, business to business (B2B) software as a service (SaaS), media and entertainment.

They presented to a diverse audience of ecosystem stakeholders, industry leaders and government officials, with the potential for partnership opportunities with the Globe Group, the Philippines’ top digital solutions platform, and the Ayala Corp, one of the Philippines’ largest conglomerates.

Coached by 500 Global’s network of world-class mentors, the companies underwent training to create sustainable growth marketing strategies and build solid foundations to help them build their next stage of growth.

The platform connects vetted, accredited tutors to students across the Philippines for subjects such as Math, Reading, and Science. ● KodeGo: transforms beginners and career shifters into highly-skilled professionals by providing them with education and training in various technologies. ● Housify: property marketplace that simplifies and speeds up the customer's home-buying cycle, from search to turnover and moving in. ● RUSH: eCommerce and loyalty SaaS on a mission to bring businesses closer to their customers. ● MemoApp: all-in-one tool for memo tracking and approval requests. ● Capitan: aims to be the growth and enablement partner of MSMEs, guiding them in every step of their digital transformation so that they may survive and thrive in the digital economy
● PiE (Pinoy Interactive Entertainment): the newest interactive channel in the Philippines from Kroma Entertainment and ABS-CBN.
