Popular messaging platform WhatsApp is currently testing out a new feature on its app in regards to group chats. Spotted on the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS, users can now see past participants of their groups at the group info section.

As reported by WaBetaInfo, the feature is available on the 22.16.0.70 beta version update that has started to roll out to iOS beta users since yesterday. This section is visible to all participants of the group and the option can be found at the very end of the list of group participants.

Furthermore, the feature lets users see participants that have left or been removed from the group in the past 60 days. It is unsure why WhatsApp added this feature as it is not particularly something that users have been requesting for.

Moreover, as it is only available in the beta version right now, it is not yet sure whether WhatsApp will be implementing it within the actual app. Well. we just have to wait to find out I guess.
