MacOS Ventura is coming with the all new Stage Manager multitasking interface, a Weather app, a Clock app with alarm clock (finally!), the ability to edit sent iMessages, and much more. If you’re excited about getting macOS Ventura on your Mac, you’re almost certainly wondering when the release date for macOS Ventura 13 is, so that you can gear up and get your Mac ready for the new version.

So, when is macOS Ventura set to be released?

Currently macOS Ventura is still in beta, which means Apple is actively working on the development of the system software. But Apple has timelines and deadlines, and they do offer clues as to when the final version will become available to all users.

MacOS Ventura Release Date is Set for “Fall”

Apple has publicly said the macOS Ventura is coming in the fall of 2022.

Setting an entire season as the release date is a little ambiguous, but we can break it down a little further to get an idea of when that may be.

Fall officially begins on September 22, but Apple has typically released macOS versions a little later than new iOS versions. Thus if the iOS 16 release date is probably in late September, it’s reasonable to expect that macOS Ventura will probably have a release date sometime in October.

So if you were hoping for a sooner release date than that, have some patience, it’s really not too far away.

In the meantime, you can check if your Mac is compatible with macOS Ventura here.

Don’t want to wait for the fall release date for macOS Ventura?

If you are a more advanced user and you don’t want to wait for the fall release date of macOS Ventura 13, you can always backup your Mac and then install macOS Ventura public beta onto the computer. Just remember that beta system software is much less stable than final versions, because it is actively being worked on by Apple.
