Xiaomi has introduced its latest flagship Xiaomi 13 Pro in China ahead of its global launch expected some time in early 2023.

With that, the phone company also unveiled improvements to its Xiaomi 13 series, which include Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered handsets.

Xiaomi Combines Premier Components For Xiaomi 13 And 13 Pro

According to Android Authority, the Chinese phone maker is usually one of the first ones to adopt the Snapdragon silicon, which is why it is not shocking that it did the same for the Xiaomi 13 Series.

Reports say that the two phones in the series, the Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro, are expected to perform top notch with SD 8 Gen 2 processors.

The phones are also improved with a number of features such as IP68 rating, Leica camera tuning, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless top-ups.

Additionally, the Xiaomi 13 series will also have features like WiFi 6E, custom Surge chips for battery management and fast charging, stereo speakers, and an IR blaster.

Aside from these, customers will also be able to have a device surface with micro-ceramics that ensure a soft feeling when held, and that will not peel or discolor over time.

Regardless of how users choose to charge them, the Xiaomi 13 series devices are claimed to last the longest among other devices from the company with bigger vapor and copper cooling systems.

Android Police writes that the Xiaomi 13 is listed at a price of 3,999 Yen ($575) while the Xiaomi 13 Pro goes from 4,999 ($720) to 6,999 Yen ($905).

Xiaomi Details The Features Coming To Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro

The Xiaomi 13 Pro model reportedly got its name from a number of upgrades it has over the standard Xiaomi 13, which includes a 6.73-inch QHD+ curved OLED screen.

It also has a 4,820mAh battery, a 120W wired charging speed, and a phone camera that packs the same one-inch IMX989 50MP as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

Its main camera is integrated with a 50MP ultrawide shooter with macro more and a 50MP 3x tele camera, which is equivalent to 75mm length with 10 cm focusing distance.

Notebook Check reports that the Xiaomi 13 Pro will be available in 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB of storage and in 12GB RAM with 256GB and 512GB of storage.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro will be available for orders in China starting December 14 in Ceramic White, Far Mountain Blue, Terracotta Black, and Wilderness Green.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi’s standard phone, Xiaomi 13, is also trading in its one-inch IMX989 main camera for a 50MP IMX800 shooter, Android Authority details.

Its second camera will be handled by a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 10MP 3x telephoto lens with a 75mm length equivalent.

However, unlike the Xiaomi 13 Pro whose screen is curved, the Xiaomi 13 has a flat screen with flat edges to highlight its vanilla handset.

The Xiaomi 13 also comes in four storage variants similar to the Xiaomi 13 Pro, but it is only available in Terracotta Black, Ceramic White, and Wilderness Green.
