If you are lucky enough to actually own a 2022 Ford Maverick, there are a lot of folks who are probably envious. This small truck has been an extremely hot commodity since its release, and that is for good reason. It is affordable, efficient, and just plain fun. The Ford Maverick proves that you don’t have to be a big, beefy truck in order to be successful. But, this pickup is still ready for adventure. Especially if you go down the route of customizing it to make it your own.

Is there an aftermarket for the Ford Maverick?

Although the Maverick is still a fairly new truck, it does have a thriving aftermarket community. From Maverick forums to third-parties building accessories, you can customize your small pickup to your heart’s content. And, it is likely that this community will only continue to grow. Especially as we wait for the release of the 2023 Maverick.

Ford Maverick | Ford

Ford has provided its small truck with accessories that you can buy directly from the blue oval. Some folks have even done things like build custom campers for their Maverick. Which increases this pickup’s ability to handle adventure.

Can the Maverick go camping?

If you are interested in a small truck that can handle things like camping, the Ford Maverick is certainly ideal. It offers an available all-wheel drive system along with a turbocharged engine. Plus, for 2022, buyers could opt for an off-road package, known as the FX4 Off-Road package.

Ford Maverick Tremor | Ford

Once the 2023 model arrives, the capability of the Maverick will only increase. Ford has announced the arrival of a Tremor model. And that should give this small truck a little bit more adventuring prowess.

Should you buy a Ford Maverick?

Unfortunately, buying a Maverick is not an easy task right now. Sure, you can find one at a dealership or on the used market. But, you will likely be paying a serious mark-up to get behind the wheel of Ford’s small truck. Because the Maverick was so popular, Ford was forced to close orders for the 2022 model. Which means paying sticker price really isn’t possible. At least, as long as folks are willing to pay above MSRP.

The 2023 Maverick should be released soon. And if you are interested in it, you should plan to act quickly. Because who knows how long order banks will actually remain open. And then, the waiting will start to actually get the 2023 Maverick in your driveway.

How can you customize your Maverick?

There are a variety of ways to customize your small truck. According to MotorTrend, folks have been doing a range of different things to make their Maverick unique. From lowing this truck to giving it a lift kit, there are options out there to make the Maverick the truck of your dreams.
