Call of Duty finally announced a new anti-cheat feature will be coming to the franchise in both Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone, and we have all the details you need to know about this exciting new feature.

Many in the Call of Duty community have been complaining for months as the game has been rife with hackers, mainly in Warzone, who don’t even try to hide their cheats; their aimbot and wall hacks allow them to get 50 kill games and winning matches with ease.

Clearly the frustrations and criticisms of the gaming community have finally been heard and we will be excited to see how exactly the anti-cheat works.

There are still worries, as many still believe hackers will find a way around these anti-cheats and still ruin the great multiplayer game.

Here is everything you need to know...

Release Date

The anti-cheat, named Ricochet, will be released during Call of Duty Vanguard. There is no official release date, but Call of Duty revealed it will go live during the Pacific Update later this year.

With Vanguard being released on Friday 5th November 2021, it should go live during the month of November 2021.

Features

Multi-faceted approach to combat cheating, New server-side tools which monitor analytics to identify cheating, Enhanced investigation processes to stamp out cheaters Updates to strengthen account security New PC kernel-level driver. This driver will assist in the identification of cheaters, reinforcing and strengthening the overall server security.

How it works

It only works while playing Call of Duty: Warzone It is not always-on. It monitors the software and applications that interact with Call of Duty: Warzone. When you shut down Call of Duty: Warzone, the driver turns off.

This is great news to hear from Call of Duty, and hopefully they will reveal a lot more in the near future as there is only less than a month until Call of Duty Vanguard is released.

For now we have to wait until it comes out to wait and see if it will work, but no doubt there is a huge amount of pressure on the developers to make sure it succeeds.
