Indian two-wheeler mobility start-up company eBikeGo has rapidly expanded during the pandemic times. From a fleet of just 300 electric scooters, the company has now expanded by six times in a short span of time.

The start-up company is currently aiming at 2% of the Indian electric scooter segment. This project will add 1,00,000 more electric scooters in its arsenal and the brand will operate in 100 cities across the country.

At present, the start-up company stands tall with a massive fleet of 2,100 electric scooters. It has hired 70 new employees at various managerial and leadership levels for its smooth operation.

Earlier, the company managed to cover a combined distance of 25,000 kilometres a day with its fleet of 300 electric scooters. However, during the pandemic, the numbers have gone through the roof with a fleet of 2,100 electric scooters and the start-up is now covering up to 1,20,000 kilometres a day.

Following this success, the company’s revenue also reflected this tremendous growth with a turnover of Rs 2.5 crore per month which is much higher than the previous Rs 15 lakh per month.

The Founder and CEO of eBikeGo, Irfan Khan said, “As per the current demand in online delivery, we have expanded our capacity in terms of fleet and manpower during this pandemic time. While we are building this up, we’re also planning on improving our infrastructure, technology and existing facilities to provide ultimate convenience to all networked professionals, trained riders, our key partners, and stakeholders.”

He went on to say,” With the existing tie-ups and increase in the volumes of fleets, we are targeting to fulfil 10,000 electric scooters within the next financial year”

During the pandemic, the company has also provided its employees with a special benefits policy, named ‘Corona Kavach Policy’.

Currently, eBikeGo operates in seven Indian Cities, which includes Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Amritsar, Pune, Indore, and Bengaluru. Apart from B2C mobility plans, the company is also working with many last-mile delivery companies.
