As such, buyers currently only have the choice between the D350 and P530.

Each purchase of the Range Rover will come with a 5-year/100,000km warranty and a 5-year/100,000km maintenance plan.

Engine

The 530 petrol configuration will consist of a 4.4-litre V8 with a set of two parallel twin-turbochargers to produce 390kW and 750Nm,

This allows the SUV to reach a speed of 100km/h in 4.6 seconds with Dynamic Launch enabled, before capping out at 250km/h.

For the D350 models, the straight-six turbo-diesel engine will generate upwards of 257kW and 700Nm of torque, allowing the SUV to reach 100km/h in 6.1 seconds.

The electric hybrid iterations, meanwhile, make use of a six-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 375kW, and this is used in tandem with a 38.2kWh lithium-ion battery and 105kW electric motor.

This allows the P510e models to drive for 113km on all-electric power, and the motor provides enough instant torque for the luxury car to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.6s.

All versions of the Range Rover will be equipped with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and twin-speed transmission, which provide a set of low-range ratios essential for towing or off-road driving when more control is required, said Range Rover.

High-end features

The new SUV will come with a Meridian sound system that includes speakers inside each of the four standard headrests, and the cabin is equipped with an active noise cancellation system that monitors and cancels out exterior noise.

Adding to the comfort of the interior, the active cruise control and steering assist functions will work in tandem with the dynamic suspension to make adjustments to the road surface for a smooth driving experience.

The all-wheel-drive system has been designed to afford heightened maneuverability at low speeds to make it easier to navigate tight urban streets.

Furthermore, an electronic rear axle allows for a seven-degree turning angle, giving the new car the smallest turning circle of any Range Rover at 11m4.

The SUV’s doors now include power assistance, and these can even be controlled through the floating, curved 13.1-inch Pivi Pro infotainment screen in the centre console.

This media centre is capable of receiving over-the-air software updates, has smartphone pairing capabilities, and is able to provide haptic feedback when touched.

Accompanying the media screen is a 13.7-inch interactive driver’s display, which can be controlled through the multifunction steering wheel.

Rear passengers can also look forward to 11.4-inch HD touchscreens mounted onto the back of the front seats. These can be operated independently and include an HDMI port for connections to other devices.

Additionally, in-car WiFi means these screens will be able to make use of Smart TV capabilities.

Other luxury fittings consist of climate control with an air purification system, a 360-degree camera, and compatibility with a Remote Park Assist App for smartphones, will allows the SUV to enter and exit parking bays while the driver observes nearby.
