Omega Seiki Mobility, in partnership with Log 9 Materials, introduced Rage+ Rapid electric three-wheeler in India at a starting price of Rs 3.59 lakh for the open carrier half tray variant and goes up to Rs 3.99 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, India) for the top body container variant. The company also opened the pre-bookings for the OSM Rage+ Rapid electric three-wheeler at an initial token amount of Rs 10,000. The prices of the OSM Rage+ Rapid electric three-wheeler are introductory for the first 1,000 customers.
Uday Narang, Founder & Chairman, Omega Seiki Mobility, said, “OSM is at the pinnacle of the cargo EV segment in India, and with today’s launch of Rage+ Rapid EV, I am sure our customers will be delighted with the unique value proposition offered. Resolving range anxiety with industry-leading charging time will lead to more uptime for last-mile logistics customers as well as entrepreneurs, adding more firepower to their business.”
Both the variants of Omega Seiki’s Rage+ Rapid electric three-wheeler consist of RapidX 6,000 fast-charging batteries based on the flagship InstaCharge technology developed by Log 9 Materials. These batteries can be juiced up to a full charge in 35 minutes, and are optimized to work within tough Indian weather conditions between operating temperatures of -30°C to +60°C, allowing up to 40,000 charge-discharge cycles and hence 10+ years of battery life. The battery promises a range of 90km+ on a single charge when fully charged, targeted towards the B2B last-mile cargo and delivery segment in India.
The Rage+ Rapid electric three-wheeler comes along with a Rs 1 lakh buy-back guarantee within 5 years after the purchase. This buyback guarantee is a first in the Indian market and attempts to solve the challenges associated with the resale value of EVs. Additionally, the Rage+ Rapid electric three-wheeler offers a 5-year vehicle warranty and a 6-year battery warranty. Additionally, Log 9 will also be offered to them – ‘InstaCharge on Demand’ a phone-call-based EV charging service that brings a high-power charger to the vehicle owners’ preferred location. At present, the service is operational in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, among other cities.
