The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Series is expected to launch tommorow during the Unpacked Event alongside the next generation of foldable Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. The watches are expected to arrive with a revamped design and upgraded features. A larger model, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is expected to be a new addition to the lineup. The Galaxy Watch 5 & Watch 5 Pro: Specs & Features
It is said to be a one-up variant that will arrive with a larger battery and a titanium case with sapphire glass on its display. SnoopyTech has revealed some images of the watch series that show the marketing materials for the new watches. The images show the fast charging feature by showing the watch on its charging puck and reaching 45% battery. The Galaxy Watch 5 models are said to feature 10W fast charging which will be double the previous generation.
Due to a large battery being a part of the upcoming watch 5 Pro, it is expected to be a bit bulky in size and feature a battery pack of 572mAh. The rotating bezel feature seems to be ceasing for the new Watch 5 Pro. The basic watch 5 models will arrive in 40mm and 44mm sizes whereas the Pro model will come in only a 45mm size.
Some fitness features are also visible on the Galaxy Watch 5 that including a focus on sleep tracking. Some leaked posters claim that the buyers will get a free pair of Galaxy Buds Live headphones if they pre-order the watch before August 26th. Although there is no confirmation about this deal applying to the Indian market, we will have to wait for the brand to announce the promotional offers for the country.
Both the watch 5 and watch 5 Pro will run Wear OS 3.5 which will look better with the latest One UI Watch interface. Samsung has also decided to target the corporate market this time as it is coming up with black and graphite leather straps for the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro model. The basic Watch 5 model is expected to arrive in Bora Purple, Graphite Grey, Light Blue, Pink Gold, and White colors.
