Perfect Nature, a Singapore-based healthcare and lifestyle company, has secured SGD $1 million ($740,000) in seed funding for its subsidiary brand, Snuugo, the first intuitive and smart wearable breast pump designed and manufactured locally.
Perfect Nature said in a statement on Tuesday that this funding marks a pivotal moment in their mission to redefine the breastfeeding experience by combining it with technology – making it comfortable, practical and hassle-free for mothers.
According to the statement, the seed funding round was led by prominent angel investors Peter Tan, Founder and Former Chief Executive Officer of Fischer Tech Ltd, and Willy Koh, Founder of Racer Technology Pte Ltd.
“With these funds, we’re not just building a product; we’re building a future where mothers can experience the joy of breastfeeding like never before,” said Justin Tan and Charles Lim, Co-Founders of Snuugo.
The funds have been strategically allocated for the development of prototypes, evaluation, and trials over the past two years.
They have secured international patents for the unique design and are streamlining the manufacturing process.
A significant portion of the funds has been devoted to optimizing the mobile application’s technology.
It also offers a remarkable selection of up to 28 rhythm and intensity settings, enabling mothers to efficiently customise each pump without sacrificing comfort.
According to the statement, sustainability and eco-friendliness are integral to the product design.
The breast pump features pump-to-feed and pump-to-store systems, reducing the need to transfer milk to other containers, thus minimizing wastage and spillage.
It is noted that providing mothers with greater flexibility in their pumping routines, catering to the constant demands of family and work.
Perfect Nature will officially launch Snuugo in Singapore from December 1 to 3 at Babyland in Singapore Expo Hall 5, followed by expansion into Southeast Asia in mid-2024 and China.
The company aims to create a complete ecosystem of nursing solutions, offering mothers freedom and versatility throughout their breastfeeding journey.
