To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the famed Hockenheimring race track, Porsche has introduced the first special edition of their electric performance car, the Taycan GTS Hockenheimring Edition.

The car is painted in a unique colour called Stone Grey – the first time in a Taycan – and was developed by Porsche’s Paint To Sample colour programme along with Bronzite accents that can be seen on the side still trim, rear diffuser, and the badge at the rear.

Another one of its key features includes the 21-inch Mission E designed wheels that are also painted in Stone Grey with Bronzite painted onto the centre of the wheels.

Moving inside, Porsche Exclusive Manufactur has given a special treatment to the interior by enhancing it with many details. The stitching is done in Island Green to contrast the black leather interior and floor mats, making it the first of its kind in a Taycan.

Open-Pore Paldo Wood is used for decorative trims while the selector level, cup holders,  and air vents on the driver and passenger sides are all finished in Bronzite.

To top it all off, the Hockenheimring anniversary logo is beautifully embossed onto the centre console armrest, making it one of the biggest highlights of the interior.

Owners of the Taycan GTS Hockenheimring Edition will be given exclusive access to the Hockenheimring. Owners identify themselves as owners of the special edition model by showing the key of the car that also has an anniversary logo printed on it, which gives them authority to drive directly to the Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) that is located inside the Hockenheimring Racetrack.

Apart from aesthetic changes, the special edition does not have any performance upgrades over the normal Taycan GTS. This means that the car will come with a 93.4 kw/h battery mated to 2 eclectic motors located at the front and rear axles producing a total of 590hp and 849 Nm, allowing for 0 to 100 kmh in 3.5 seconds.

Porsche says that the special edition model will only be sold in Germany and some European markets but prices were not released, we can only estimate the price of the special edition model by referring to the starting price of the standard Taycan GTS which starts from RM708k.
