Though SUVs are gaining popularity in Southeast Asia, there is still a demand for sedans, albeit with diminishing sales (and choices). The all-new 11th-generation made its debut in the United States of America but this latest spyshot in Thailand proves that it might also be launched in the region.

Taken by the Thai automotive YouTube channel, Tech Hangout Auto, the camouflaged Accord is spotted in the open in the middle of a traffic jam. Like any spied development car, it is devoid of any branding or indication that it’s an Accord but eagle-eyed car enthusiasts would know it’s one.
No prizes for guessing the white box next to the Accord
The all-new 2023 Accord is even sleeker to look at and on the camouflaged car, the large hexagonal grille and slim headlights can be seen in front.
Unlike the Accord that made its global debut in the States, the spied Accord is fitted with some standard-looking black 5-spoke alloy wheels. The two-tone 19-inchers as shown on the US-spec Accord in Honda’s official visuals are optional with the standard wheel size on the Accord being 17-inches.
We also get to see the rear of the Accord in the video and it is very much sleek. Traditional sedans might be dying but add some sporty fastback design elements and it instantly becomes the talk of the town.
In the United States, the 2023 Accord is powered by a 1.5-litre VTEC turbo petrol (192 PS/260 Nm) or a 2.0-litre Atkindon-cycle hybrid engine (combined 204 PS/335 Nm). Both units are paired with a CVT automatic that drives the front wheels.
Both the manual transmission as well as the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine (252 PS/370 Nm) are discontinued in the all-new Accord.
Dimensions-wise, the all-new Accord is 89 mm longer in length, but it has the same height, width, and wheelbase measurements as the previous generation. Still, Honda says that the Accord has a more spacious rear legroom and an equally large boot space.
The American-spec Accord is also loaded with convenient gizmos like a 12.3-inch infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as Google integration with Over the Air (OTA) updates.
The much-lauded Honda Sensing ADAS suite also gets an upgrade via a new camera with a wider 90-degree field of view as well as a wide-angle radar with a 120-degree field of view.
Outgoing TH-spec Accord e:HEV shown
With the sighting of the all-new 11th-gen Honda Accord in the region, it’s only a matter of when Honda’s legendary sedan would be launched. Given the rise in popularity of hybrids in Thailand, the all-new Accord e:HEV would certainly be launched there but will it also be launched in Malaysia?
The outgoing 10th-gen Accord is still available in Malaysia with two petrol-powered variants offered:
