Maid

A story of perseverance and strength, a woman runs from an abusive relationship with her young child and finds a job cleaning homes while working toward building a better future for herself and her daughter. Dubbed a limited series, the story was inspired by the memoir Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive by Stephanie Land. With great reviews thus far, critics laud the series for its handling of sensitive subject matter and praise the performance of the lead, Margaret Qualley.

Seinfeld

Yes, it’s true. You can now watch all nine seasons of the iconic ’90s sitcom Seinfeld, albeit not without some controversy. Already days into availability, fans are upset about the switch to the 16:9 aspect ratio, which literally removes some of the most memorable visual gags (like that pothole from the season 8 episode). The Simpsons on Disney+ experienced the same sort of fallout when it was initially added to the service and was thankfully rectified to its original splendor. Nonetheless, whether you’re re-watching the hilarious show about nothing or watching for the first time to finally understand the origins of terms like “man hands,” “low-talker,” “yada, yada, yada,” and the “master of your own domain,” this is a huge get for the streaming service.

Pretty Smart

Emily Osment stars as Chelsea, a bookworm and aspiring novelist who is forced to move in with her less intellectual sister and her quirky roommates, leading to an odd-couple scenario. While Chelsea tends to be judgemental, predictably, the group learns to get along and forge new friendships with one another, despite their differences. Full House

Relive the joys, laugh tracks, and sappy music that was par for the course in the ’80s and ’90s sitcom Full House. It told the story of a recently widowed dad (Bob Saget) who gets help raising his three daughters from his comedian best friend (Dave Coulier) and musician brother-in-law (John Stamos), who both rally and decide to move in with the family. Familiar to a new generation via the Netflix sequel series Fuller House, it’s the series that made Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen household names.
