Xiaomi is set to launch its new TWS in India very soon. The smartphone maker entered the personal audio category only last year and, according to leaker Mukul Sharma, may launch Xiaomi TWS 3 Pro in India in December 2021 or January 2022. Xiaomi is not planning to launch too many premium products this year, so there is a high chance that even the Xiaomi TWS 3 Pro will be launched in January next year.
Xiaomi launched the same earbuds in China in September this year alongside the Xiaomi Civi smartphone. The earbuds feature adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC). In China, they were priced at CNY 699 (around Rs 8,000). The India price of Xiaomi TWS 3 Pro can be under Rs 10,000 as well. In that case, they will compete with the OnePlus Buds Pro, Nothing ear (1) and Google Pixel Buds A-series.
During an interview with India Today Tech earlier this year, Raghu Reddy – Chief Business Officer – Xiaomi India, confirmed that the company will definitely launch a new TWS in the country soon. Xiaomi sells TWS under both Redmi and Xiaomi sub-brands as of now but, Reddy said that the best is yet to come.
“2020 was a big year. We launched four TWS last year, two under the Redmi sub-brand and two other the Mi branding. We have seen great response to all these earbuds but, we believe our best is yet to come in this category. We are excited about what’s in store in the coming quarter,” he said.
Last year, Xiaomi launched its first truly wireless earbuds and since then, has added three more devices in the same category.
As far as the Xiaomi TWS 3 Pro go, the earphones were announced in Black, Green, and White colour options. All the options should also be available in the Indian market. The earbuds come with a voice-enhancing mode, an ambient mode, and a three-stage noise reduction feature. The maximum noise reduction depth offered by the earbuds are 40dB. They have spatial audio support, offer USB Type-C charging and come with LHDC 4.0 codec as well.
The earbuds are IP55 rated and can deliver up to six hours of battery life when ANC is turned off. With the charging case, the battery lasts up to 27 hours.
