Filed squarely under the “Hey, y’all – watch this” category, we find two numbskulls who attempted (and failed miserably) to launch a six-wheeled Ram Apocalypse TRX over jump made of gravel. We say failed since the truck did not return to earth on a pillow of off-road suspension, instead slamming its nose into a wall of gravel with the force not seen by your author since his demolition derby days (two wins, thankyouverymuch).

The innocent truck and its hapless owners apparently run a YouTube channel called The Triple F Collection. After this display of sheer ineptitude, ‘Triple F’ surely refers to their driving skills. It seems the build crew increased the height or length of this jump but the driver hit it at the same speed at which he was nailing the old configuration. The miscalculation caused the TRX 6×6 to land spectacularly short of the mark, pile-driving its front end and suspension bits into interesting shapes surely not foreseen by Ram nor Apocalypse.

No airbags deployed in the wreck, which is either an indictment of the truck’s safety gear or a testament to pulled fuses. Both the driver and passenger were flung forward with great velocity during the impact leading your author to believe that, despite a claim at the beginning of their video that all hands were “relatively unharmed,” there was a decent amount of soft tissue injury, particularly to the passenger. Take it from a former derby driver: this stuff hurts.

6×6 pickup jump (and fail) Photo by The Triple F Collection The Triple F Collection/YouTube

For readers who may not recall, the Ram TRX 6×6 is built by a company suitably called Apocalypse Manufacturing. Starting with an already outrageous TRX, the company fabs and installs what is described as a “proprietary middle axle,” turning the thing into a six-wheeled monster. According to the bumf, those six enormous meats constantly put power to the ground. Officially called the Warlord, the 6×6 is said to cost in the neighbourhood of $320,000 CAD before the addition of various styling packages in case a six-wheeled TRX isn’t already aggressive enough for your liking.

Back at the Foolish Funny Farm (that’s what Triple F Collection stands for, right?) the ill-treated TRX 6×6 has been conspicuously absent on this YouTube channel since its crash video was posted about a month ago. Instead, showrunners at Triple F seem preoccupied on abusing the exclamation point and question mark buttons on their laptop keyboards while naming their videos. No word on if they’re taking lessons on how to jump a truck.
